Cambodian Livelihood Bike Tour - Half Day

Enjoy a morning cultural bike tour outside of Phnom Penh and around an island to see how Cambodian people live and work.

This tour takes you on journey to have a close look at some Cambodian local industries and agriculture. The bike tour departs at 7:30am and takes a relaxed 17 km route along country roads including the tranquil landscape of an island in the river.

Along the way you’ll meet local families and learn about their traditional livelihoods, often unchanged throughout generations.. Local business’ explored; small family metal smith, various crops of vegetables and fruit, produce production, garment factory, rattan furniture, and more.

What else will you see and experience on tour?

Along with experiencing small villages, local markets, the production of and sampling traditional Cambodian productsand some locally grown fruit, the bike tour takes you to a tranquil island by ferry, to a beautiful Pagoda where Monks live and study and through a Cham Muslim village.  Connect with the real Cambodia.

Cost per person:

$12 for tour (2 person minimum or $17 for 1 person)
+ $5 for bike rental (if you don’t have your own)
+ (optional) transportation outside of Phnom Penh to start the tour on a country road (about $12 roundtrip per group of up to 2 people).

Departure time are flexible!

Tours are lead by English speaking students and alumni of Empowering Youth in Cambodia. We are creating this social enterprise bike tour to raise funds for our cycling team as well as provide training and work experience.
