2011 Scholarships

EYC currently has many special students, but these young people demonstrate exceptional abilities and have situations that require our support for them to be able to work their way out of poverty.  All of these kids grew up in tough conditions and have persevered through more than most of us can imagine, yet they are optimistic for their futures.

Please consider making a donation.  University tuition starts at $400 per year.  We will
distribute based on each students need, and on how much is donated.

Meas Srey Pov
“I got the scholarship from EYC to study at a private high school, Pannasastra International School. After I got the scholarship my life became better. My performance at school kept improving, and I have more chances to be involved in social activities. Furthermore, the scholarship have reduced my family’s expense for sending me to school. My parents seem really happy and feel so proud of me. Before my family were so worried about me that I might become a bad person in society, but now they hope I will earn a good reputation for my family. They see that I am more mature and are delighted because they see that I have become a strong girl.
I promise that I am going to try very hard in university and will share what I have to other people who have less knowledge than me. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to all donors who I have supported me both financially and emotionally, and I do promise that I will pay back by becoming a very successful person in life.”

I am more confident as a good student in the class, have good relationships with other people, sensitive thinking, and the best for me is that I can speak well.
