Many people have contributed to make EYC what it is today, giving money, time and energy. Each year we grow in our programs, number of students, and budget. The following graphs show some of how and where we spent in 2011:

Here we have broken out the expenses that do and don’t directly impact our students. While our marketing costs are almost nothing, we have allocated some of the director’s (Drew) salary to reflect the cost of communicating with donors and showing the results of our work (Fundraising & Communications). The costs of managing our staff (mostly teachers), renting an office and related expenses are also shown (Administration).
The funds that support activities within the schools are used for the following programs:

Among the schools the spending is as follows:

The information was prepared by Seth Daire. Our full financials are also available upon request, and have been shared with our primary donors.
We feel this information is a part of our responsibility to be transparent and accountable. While the numbers tell part of the story, another important aspect is how we operate and manage people. EYC prides itself on being an organization where changes can be implemented fast, bureaucracy is minimal, meetings are brief and purposeful, etc. We acknowledge we have lots of room for growth, keep our minds open and embrace change. This is how we make the most use of your donations!

Dear Seth and Drew,
Thank you for including us in your expenditure data. Thank you Seth for preparing it.
Would you have any update information on how the Computer Education component at Azzia’s is going. Many people as us where we send XOs and frankly, what you are accomplishing at EYC always amazes me. If at any time you would like to expand your XO program will you please let me know.
All my best
